Beginning in January 2021, I am returning to my roots and back to the Economics classroom. In the linked folder you will find all of the essential classroom resources for Unit 1: Microeconomics.

Voyages: Geography Project Fall 2020

The Voyages Unit is designed to educate middle school students about world cultures, geographic features, and environmental sustainability while teaching educational concepts and skills such as primary and secondary source analysis. Students will complete their own investigation by developing a travel itinerary that will be shared within the school community and globally through Google Earth. This unit is designed to be used in the Social Studies, classroom while targeting additional standards in English Language Arts and Science.

The Econ Diaries & Macroeconomic Infographics

These lessons and projects were designed during my tenure teaching Economics. Students were encouraged to complete their own research to develop an understanding of economic history, philosophical and economic thought and macroeconomic theory. The Econ Diaries website is still live and linked to this site. Feel free to use it as an example in your economics classroom. You can contact me if you have additional questions or would like help with adapting these lessons for your own use.

Mathematics Unit & Lesson Planning

In these files you will find unit plans, lesson plans and other resources for mathematics that cross a variety of content areas. Many are project based. Some of my favorites include: Modular Origami and Visual History of Empires.

If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.

About Me

I am a graduate of Villanova University and The New School for Social Research with degrees in Economics. I am also a rabid Wildcat Basketball fan. From September through May, I can be found in a virtual classroom streaming from Maryland. When we are not in the middle of a global pandemic, I leave the classroom behind and embark on new journeys around the globe. Every summer is a little different. In the past I have spent summers in Prague, Switzerland, Germany and England. I have traveled to the other side of the world and tromped through China and Korea.
